Entramos en la vertiente Alavesa del Parque Natural del Gorbea en el Pais Vasco.Es de noche y la luna ilumina el sendero por el que caminamos.Queremos grabar la berrea que es el momento de cortejo y apareamiento entre los ciervos.El sonido profundo que emiten los machos para llamar la atención de las hembras nos asegura que estamos en el lugar adecuadado.A medida que despunta el día divisamos en la profundidad del bosque varios grupos de ciervas que se mueven inquietas a la espera de los machos.La grabación había que hacerla a un gran distancia y evitando que el viento delatase nuestra presencia.La salida roja y potente del sol iluminó el valle creando una atmósfera mágica que ponía punto final a este ritual de cortejo nupcial.

We enter the Alavesa slope of the Gorbea Natural Park in the Basque Country. It is night and the moon illuminates the path we walk. We want to record the weeping that is the time of courtship and mating between the deer. The deep sound that the males emit to get the attention of the females assures us that we are in the right place. As the day dawns we saw in the depth of the forest several groups of deer that move restlessly waiting for the males.The recording had to be done at a great distance and preventing the wind from revealing our presence. Red and powerful sunrise illuminated the valley creating a magical atmosphere that put an end to this ritual of nuptial courtship.
